This shouldn’t even be
a story in September or at all but here we go guys. Bear with on this one. When
I first read about this story online I thought I was bugging out or something.
Then it hit me that Boston Celtics guard Jason Terry, known as the J.E.T. was
sporting a new tattoo of the signature leprechaun spinning the Larry O’Brien
trophy on his finger inside of his left bicep (Yahoo Sports, 2012). We all want
to know “What the hell were you thinking J.E.T.”?
In my life I have seen
all types of tattoos and what it stands for and I think the tattoo that he is
rocking would have been great if they have won the NBA title next year, but he
wasn’t thinking straight at all. Maybe it could have been that he was with the
Dallas Mavericks for so long that he forgot what it was like to play for
another team or he was just star struck of playing in Boston? Who knows but
what I will tell you that he just put a bull’s eye on the Celtics back and they
definitely don’t need that. As we all know the Celtics are an old team and
Terry just made them even older now they have to compete even harder to show
people that J.E.T.’s tattoo means everything to them.
I could only what Doc
Rivers and upper management thought when they heard about this. They were just
shaking their heads and thinking about what they got their selves into by the
signing of Terry. This is a big distraction for the team and I’m here to tell
you that I HIGHLY doubt that they are going to win the title next year. Teams
are too deep now and the east is stronger than ever. With this action Terry may
have made his stay in Beantown short-term if they don’t win it all. Overall, if they don’t win is he going to
keep that tattoo? Can you guys help me out with this one? Is it me or Terry as
cocky as we think? I can respect confidence and at times bravado, but this is a
mess.
