Russell Westbrook Needs a New Home!

I’m going to make this very short and sweet tonight. Russell Westbrook needs to go! OKC has to look at all their options this summer on trading Westbrook. If OKC wants to win a championship, which I know they do. They have to trade him. The reason why is because there is no reason how Westbrook is taking more shots than Kevin Durant in games. First off, he is a point guard. Lastly, Durant is a super star that can lead his team to a title. Westbrook doesn’t know how to play his role. Don’t get me wrong, Westbrook is a great talent but he needs to take the backseat to Durant. How are they going to ever win a title if Westbrook is your leader on that team. It just won’t happen people. Don’t mean to mess up tonight’s game with this news, but who else is going to say it. The San Antonio Spurs most likely will win the series in 6 games. That is how good the Spurs are looking right now. I know we have new OKC fans that love Westbrook, but look at the big picture people. He is the next Allen Iverson that just wants to get his and not be a team player. Maybe OKC can get Deron Williams in a sign and trade if he decides to opt out his contract this summer. You heard it first people. Deron Williams for Russell Westbrook.

Who dat? Who dat? New Orleans Hornets Anthony Davis

The N.B.A. draft lottery 2012 is over and there will be a team that will choose the 6’10 big man Anthony Davis out of Kentucky. That team will be the New Orleans Hornets. It couldn’t happen to a better team than them. With a disastrous season they had, they came up very big with this first pick of the draft. With the Saints and the bounty controversy, this will bring the heat off of them for a while and the spotlight on Davis. Anthony Davis is a stud and he is going to be a great big man in this league for many years to come. He is only 19 years old and has great potential. The last time the Hornets got a number one draft pick was 1991. With that pick they chose our New York beloved Larry Johnson. So this pick means a lot to the organization. Davis is a kind of player that can bring them together with his defense intensity and his college championship experience. I want to see how they build around this young man this off-season? The Hornets might have lost Chris Paul this year to the L.A. Clippers, but luck sometimes comes to those that has had it tough. I do feel that even with Anthony Davis being chosen by the Hornets, they still are players away from being a playoff team. However, it is a great start for the organization. Let me know what you think?

Lamar Kardashian on the Trading Block!

Lamar Kardashian, I mean Odom is currently on the Dallas Mavericks but was told to stay home for the playoffs. Word is that he has been going through some personal issues. We do like Lamar and wish him the best. However, once he was traded from L.A. to Dallas he has looked abysmal. He has had career lows in all stat categories this year. His head and his physical play have not been there. We understand that you wanted to be close to your wife Khloe in L.A., but you are getting a fat paycheck man. You have to be a professional and put your personal issues to the side for the betterment of the team. The Mavericks needed you when you were traded there and you just didn’t cut it. Maybe if you were on your game they wouldn’t have got swept by OKC. Stay off the reality shows and get back to reality! Your life is the N.B.A. and don’t forget that. You got too caught up with the fab life of those Kardashian women. Let’s see where you land this summer. I’m a big Knick fan and I wouldn’t mind you coming home, but as we all seen that can be another distraction. I have a question for you Odom. You coming back to the east coast is just another stunt for another Khloe & Lamar reality show? If so you can stay right in your L.A. mansion. The Knicks could use a player of what you use to be. We just have to see will the Knicks trade for him. This will be an interesting summer. What are your thoughts on this topic people?

David is the "Wright" Answer

Today with the weather in the 80's feeling like a summer day. I had the pleasure to enjoy a New York Mets game at Citi Field against the San Diego Padres. The Mets won by the score of 2-0. I can't lie, they looked real good. Just FYI, I am a Yankee fan but I got some tickets from my job. You all know I couldn’t pass that up lol. I want to talk about tonight how the Mets could be a playoff caliber team this year. Watching the game today, they showed great composure and made plays. R.A. Dickey is a stud pitcher. He didn’t give up many runs, barely hits at that. Today with the win he went 7-1. Mets and Yankees fans haven’t seen this kind of year out of the team in a couple of years. We have been seeing a team in the past few years that on paper they had talent, but on the field they just didn’t get it done. You had players like Carlos Beltran making over $15 million a year, but his mind was probably on that money instead of playing baseball. This year is just different with the team. I don’t know if it is because all the money they owe people because of the Madoff scandal? They have something to prove this year because many people wrote them off. They seem that they have a chip on their shoulders. The key player to this whole team in my mind is David Wright. He is hitting .390. This is great to see and what the team needs. He just has to keep up the great play and the team can have a run for the playoffs. Mets fans let’s not get a little too ahead of ourselves though. Take it game by game and see what happens. Johan Santana, we need you to stay healthy and pitch like the Cy Young winner you was years ago. I want to hear from the Met fans!

2011 $94 Million Investment

What a devastating blow the Chicago Bulls faced this season and
the playoffs with Derrick Rose injury. Which we have already heard by now Rose tore his ACL. I’m not here tonight to talk about the injury. I want to talk about what will happen next. I personally think that he can overcome this injury, but it will take a lot of rehabilitation and time. A torn ACL is one of the worst injuries an athlete can get. This is a hard injury to overcome. Let’s talk about the 5 year contract extension that Rose just received this season for $94 million. Also how could I forget to mention his $200 million Adidas sneaker deal. Don’t get me wrong, he did deserve to ink these contracts. Now with all that money invested in Rose, will this come to bite the Bulls and Adidas in the behind? We all hope that Rose will not turn out to be the next Grant Hill. Yikes!! Rose won’t be back on the court until early 2013. Who even knows if he will be even ready by then? The Bulls can still win some key games next year without Rose in the lineup, but being a title contender and playing without him just won’t cut it. Carlos Boozer has been a terrible sign in 2010. He has been invisible on the court. What happen to the Boozer that was playing for the Utah Jazz? Guess he left his game in the mountains.

Win or Go Home!!! This Will be a Goodie..

The Boston Celtics have a lot to worry about on their hands and that worry is the Philadelphia 76ers. Game 7 at the Garden and the Big 4 need to come and play their game to advance. We are seeing a group of legends that are eroding in front of our eyes. If you remember through the season there were whispers about breaking up the Big 4 and going young. With the expiring contracts of Garnett and Allen, that may have been a good idea. Now if they don’t resign they will walk and the Celtics won’t get anything in return. I know the Celtics haven’t been knocked out of the playoffs and they most likely will move on to play the likely winner in Miami Heat. You just see a team in my opinion has seen their best days behind them. Allen, Garnett and Pierce are old and just can’t keep up with the younger and athletic players of the league. I just don’t see Rondo going anywhere. He is the leader of that team now and when he tells the team to go, they go. If they do advance and play against the Heat, I just see them getting oust in 6. This is going to be a long off-season for the club, while many changes will be taken place. Don’t expect to see this group of guys together by training camp. Again people, stay tuned for Game 7. This is going to be one to remember. Good luck to both teams!

Sanchez Out! Tebow In.. That Simple!

To all the New York Jets fans out there, I feel your pain. This will be another long season for you. There are a couple of reasons why. To start off, the offense stinks. Rex Ryan is too worried about his defense that he left his offense with his former offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer. Man he sucked as an offensive coach for the team. Oh well that is why he is gone. Another reason is because this town belongs to the New York Giants and there just isn’t any room for the Jets to fit into that space. Lastly, you already know what I’m going to say; Mark Sanchez and Tim Tebow. Both of these gentlemen are just horrible quarterbacks and I mean horrible. This is why the Jets will not win a Super Bowl in the near future. I know you guys have been to an AFC title game two years in a row, but that was the past. Let’s focus on the present and your present doesn’t look bright. Not to put the Jets down, but the writing is all on the wall. You have a quarterback in Mark Sanchez that is more focused on being in a GQ magazine than developing his arm and getting some heart. He looks petrified on the field when he plays. Pressure is not his strong point. I think that he will be traded after the season is done or maybe before. I won’t be shocked at all. He just isn’t great NFL quality. A great guy, but just can’t get the job done to be in New York. Lastly, Tim Tebow will be taking the starting spot from Sanchez by game 3 or 4 latest. This just isn’t going to cut it. He is more awful than Sanchez is. He has no arm, but he can run. Oh how could I forget, they have him there to run the Wild Cat. What a damn joke. Good luck Jets ha. What are your thoughts?

Can We All Just Get Along Kobe

When most players get older you start to see a maturity in them that you haven’t seen before in there earlier days. Kobe hasn’t really showed that! He has been the villain and the most hated athlete for many years now. I think that he is okay with that and he doesn’t care. That is what really keeps him going. That doesn’t mean it is right though. With the 33 year old superstar looking to lock in his sixth championship, obviously this year it isn't looking good for the "Black Mamba" with OKC about to close the series. When Kobe's career is over he will go down as maybe the best basketball player ever behind Michael Jordan. I think even if Bryant wins another title, in my eyes he will always be number two. Today I really wanted to talk about how Kobe Bryant isn't a good teammate. I know this will get under the skin of Kobe fans out there, but hey. With all the talent in the world, he just isn't talented with being a people person. He just rubs many people the wrong way. You just know, be very careful on how you speak to Kobe because you will be on his hot list. Shaq was run out of town because of Kobe and Phil Jackson was thrown under the bus as well. Nas even rapped about Kobe being disloyal to his old teammate Shaq in his 2004 album “Street Disciple”. You see every time his team loses a game, he suddenly throws his teammates under the bus. It seems to me that Pau Gasol has been his main target of calling out. That isn't what the great players do. There is a difference in being confident in yourself and your abilities, but he comes across too cocky. For one, I am a big Kobe fan but his personality I'm just not a fan of. I love his killer instinct and his will to win as a player. He is very clutch and he would be the player that I would want to take the last shot to win a game if I was his coach. Many people aren’t talking about this and only look at Kobe’s accolades, but I’m here to say that Kobe just comes across as fake and non-genuine. Just my views people! What are your thoughts?

When and Where Ewing Will Land?

A living basketball legend right in front of our eyes can't land a head coaching job in the N.B.A to save his life. This has to be one of the most disturbing news that I have to talk about this morning. When I was growing up I watched Patrick Ewing lead the New York Knicks every year to the playoffs respectively. He put that team on his back and who would we want better as a head coach than a player that loved to compete and respects the game. I’m not going to the issues that many fans have been frustrated about. Why Mark Jackson got an opportunity as a head coach with the Golden State Warriors and not Patrick Ewing. I feel that Ewing is a better leader than Jackson. Just a thought! However, it’s about what I think though. The league needs to see value in Ewing. He has been an assistant coach in the N.B.A. for nine seasons now and with Orlando Magic for the past five. He will definitely not get looked at for the coaching position in Orlando if they get rid of Stan Van Gundy, which I think they will this summer. They want to wash his whole coaching staff away. We all know that Dwight Howard will likely be moved this off-season to either the Brooklyn Nets or another team. I can see Patrick Ewing going to the Charlotte Bobcats as the coach, because he knows owner Michael Jordan personally. Besides playing against Jordan in the 80’s and 90’s. Whoever gives Ewing the opportunity I think they won’t regret it and he will help a team get to the next level. Any thoughts?

Not Sold on the Birds! I'm a Seller

The 2012 Baltimore Orioles! This has been a long time since we have seen the Orioles have a great start like this. This year so far they are first in the AL East, beating out the New York Yankees. This is unheard of. The Orioles record is 25-14 with a 13-5 road record. This is a great feat by far. Here is where the story turns. I have seen this many times that teams that weren't respectable for years for some reason have a great start the next season. Don't get me wrong, I want to see them do well. They need to for the city of Baltimore. The people of the city need to see some winning from this baseball team. The last time they were good was when they had legendary Cal Ripken Jr. and 1996 50 home run hitter, Brady Anderson. 1996 wow! That says it all. I think while the season goes along they will collapse because they aren't ready for this success and everyone can't become the Tampa Bay Rays. When they came out of nowhere and became a World Series contender. I'll give it to August when things really heat up for playoff seeding to see if they will stand strong. I must give it to this team; they made me make a story about them. They haven't had headlines in over a decade. The Baltimore Ravens rule that city. Just remember this name baseball fans, Adam Jones. He is hitting the ball out of his life. Hitting 13 home runs, second in the AL and hitting .300. He is only 26 years old and a Gold Glove winner in 2009. He's a badddd boy. Good luck to this team, but again I’m just not sold. What do you think? Are you a seller or buyer?

London Here We Come!

Summertime is right around the corner and we know what that means in 2012. The Olympics 2012 in London. The question that we all have in our minds is can the U.S.A. Basketball Team show up again and bring the gold home. With Lebron James and Kevin Durant leading the way, I have no doubt that we will win the gold medal again. This is the team for the ages and might be the greatest. I just feel that this team has matured and learned so much from 2008, nothing is going to stop us. Don't get me wrong, there is a lot of talent all across the world but U.S.A. is the mecca of basketball. Can we not forget our own and sometimes beloved Carmello Anthony will be playing. You know he will have a chip on his shoulder for being ousted in the first round and what better way to get that monkey off your back. Win the "GOLD". We should not forget that the Olympics is where you make your name besides the playoffs. The whole world is watching! With many young stars that we have in our league, I can't wait to see the rest of the roster and who will be taking Derrick Rose's place. I can promise you this much people, the U.S.A. Basketball Team is going to be a problem and hard to beat this summer. Let's stay tuned.

San Antonio Spurs - 2012 N.B.A. Champions

The predictions are in for this years N.B.A. champions of 2012. My pick this year is the San Antonio Spurs. The reason why, I just don't see anyone in the west beating them. Even OKC! The Spurs are just looking to dominant this year and I think Greg Popovich is on a mission this year to win another title for the city. Losing to Memphis last year left a bad taste in there mouths. Did I mention that he was the coach of the year as well. It speaks for itself people. I see the Spurs facing the Heat in the finals and don't feel that the Heat will get the job done. Not because Lebron James will come up short. I think they don't have the weapons and the experience that the Spurs have. I understand you have James and Wade. They will make it a series, but Tony Parker and the Spurs will ultimately defeat them in 6. My Finals MVP is Tony Parker. What are your thoughts?

The Best Draft Class in Sports

I remember this N.B.A. draft class of 1996 like it was yesterday. This is by far in my lifetime the best draft class in N.B.A history. Many experts and analysts say it was the 1984 draft with Michael Jordan, Hakeem Olajuwon, Charles "Weight Watchers" Barkley and John Stockton. I tend to disagree with that one. The reason I feel that they say 84' was because of the greatest basketball player ever was drafted in that class which is no other MJ. Don't get me wrong there were other great players in there with some that I mentioned, but the 96' draft took it to the next level. With at least four guaranteed Hall of Famers when they are eligible, Allen Iverson, Kobe Bryant, Ray Allen and Steve Nash. Also some other possible entries. This class changed the way basketball was played. They made you want to watch basketball again. They were young, energetic, highly skilled and a will to make a name in the N.B.A. What are your thoughts and comments on this class?

The Questions Has Been Answered! Eli is Elite

Eli Manning was scrutinized from the general public when he told Michael Kay on ESPN radio that he considers himself an elite quarterback and is in the same league as Tom Brady. Everyone laughed and thought that man was crazy. I'm going to be honest; I felt the same way as most of you. Remind you I am a New York Giant fan. Just felt that he couldn't get it done in big moments before last season. I did feel that he had potential. Just didn't think he has the Peyton gene. Obviously that isn't the case anymore. He is the man in NY and we really respect that boy now. With 5,000 passing yards this season, he really showed up when the team needed him. Did I forget that he had one of the best targets in the league named Victor "Salsa" Cruz. I see them having a great season this year and very much believe that they will repeat and win the Super Bowl again. I know what many are think. You guys are thinking that it will be tough and most likely not going to happen. Well here is a note; if New England Patriots did it over 10 years ago the Giants can do it as well. My predictions are Eli will throw for 4,500 passing yards with 30 touchdowns and 10 interceptions. Oh how could I forget to mention that he will be the league’s MVP this season!

Judgement Day 2010 - New York Knicks

This is what you all have been waiting for after The New York Knicks collapsed against The Miami Heat in 5 games in the first round of the playoffs. Did I forget to mention the Knicks forgot to even show up to the games. They left there talents at home. Speaking of talents, this article tonight and may I add a beautiful New York night is about LeBron James and South Beach. Do you guys recall on that hot humid July summer day in 2010, when Lebron James wanted to take his supernatural talents to South Beach. We all went crazy and we felt betrayed by the man we call "King James". Here is where is gets even worse for the New York Knicks. With his decision, it pushed the Knicks back five years of success and maybe a title because that is the contract he signed. As long as LeBron James is on the Miami Heat, we are doomed and we aren't gonna have answers. On a lighter note, I do have a solution for us maybe winning a title in the next three years. Here it is people.... LeBron James needs to be injured for us to win. Sorry people this is the facts and the truth. I want to hear your thoughts?

New York Rangers vs New Jersey Devils Showdown

Tune in tomorrow to Game 7 between The New York Rangers and The Washington Capitals. This is going to be one for the ages. With the Rangers hosting the game tomorrow at Madison Square Garden, they have the home crowd with them. So they can't disappoint us. I represent New York to the fullest and I hope you all are doing the same. I know, I know why is Jevon talking hockey. This isn't just hockey!! This is being proud to be a New Yorker. We need to show much love and support for our home team. With this win, the New York Rangers will go against there nemesis and tri-state rival. Trumpets please....  The New Jersey Devils. As you can see in the photo they don't like each other at all. Did I mention this is just The Eastern Conference Finals. Also if they beat and when they beat the Devils, they will be heading for that cup... and we all know what that cup is, it's the Stanley Cup. People I know I'm jumping it a little bit. Alright maybe a lot, but I'm a New Yorker and that's what we do. What are your thoughts?

R.I.P. Brooklyn Nets

The worst thing the New Jersey, now the Brooklyn Nets could have done is bring there talents to New York City. The Nets will have a buzz at first when they open up for the 12'-13' season, however I just think that they will be no match for the New York Knicks. Not just saying that meaning skill wise, lol that too but fan wise and market share. Many people in NYC are New York Knicks fans. Nets coming into town isn't just gonna make a Knick fan just say I'm gonna switch over to the rival. That wouldn't be a true fan. With that being said, the Nets have made there bed on this one. Good luck to Jay-Z and his Nets, but they were better off in New Jersey. Your thoughts!

The Cinderella Man - "The Fall and Rise of Josh Hamilton"

What an amazing game yesterday featuring Texas Rangers star Josh Hamilton. Hamilton had a spectacular and historic game yesterday against the Baltimore Orioles. He went 5-5 with 4 home runs in the game. Did I mention this has only happened 16 times in over 100 years in baseball history. We probably won't see this for another 10-15 years. This article isn't just about the 4 home runs. It's about how a man rose from the bottom and I mean the bottom. With hard times that he faced in the early 2000's after he was drafted in 1999 by the Tampa Bay Devil Rays. Substance abuse held his young career back from the star that he is today. He is the best and I mean the best player in the MLB by far. This is a feel good story to see how far he has come back to get his life back in order and become an MVP of the American League. Just when many people counted him out. Not just as a player but as a human being. His choice of drug was crack cocaine. We all know that drug has taken many lives and even some loved ones, but it's just to show you there is something more powerful in our lives than us. Good for you Josh Hamilton. Just to show you anything is possible with hard work and dedication.

New York, New Yooorrrkkk (Sinatra's voice)

It's here people. Tonight is the night! New York Knicks vs Miami Heat, Game 5. Can Carmelo Anthony bring back the magic in game 5. We will just have to see. If not they will definitely be going home. I feel they have a punchers chance tonight, but if I was a betting man my money will be on Miami. With Carmelo hitting his shots at all cylinders and J.R. (Starks lol) Smith making his shots. FYI he has shot horribly this series. He is shooting us out of the game. With these guys scoring and the others playing high octane defense I think we can bring this series back to NY. What are your thoughts?

Can the Yankees Make it Back to the Promise Land?

I am a die hard New York Yankee fan, but I'm a realist as well. I know that the Yankees have the highest payroll in baseball history. People say that they had to buy there team to win the World Series in 2009. My thing is that they haven't won since then. So the question and concerns that I have about my and your Yankees is can they win the World Series again this year. With other teams upping their rosters and owners spending money, Yankees have to step up there game. Who I am worried most about is the notorious Alex Rodriguez. He is aging badly with his baseball game. Haven't been the same since 2009. I am a big supporter, but this man is making... let me pause $27.5 million dollars per year. Yikes. What are your thoughts?

Who Would You Choose in His Prime! Stephon Marbury or Derrick Rose?

Is it me or Derrick Rose the next Stephon Marbury without the MVP! Reason why is because they are both explosive, scorers and shoot first point guards. I just don't think Derrick Rose will win a title. Just a thought.

Extension? Hmm

Good morning readers!

Should Mike Woodson get a contract extension? Why or Why not? What are your thoughts.

Floyd "Money" Mayweather Jr.

First off, I want to congratulate Floyd for his win last night against Miguel Cotto. I'm not writing about his win. This post is to talk about his next chapter and that is for him to retire. Before people assume that I don't want to see him fight; listen up.

He is on top of his game right now. He is undefeated and can we not forget 35 years old. As history has told us when a great sports figure gets older and they are great they don't know how to walk away on top. For example, Mohammed Ali.

He was and is one of the greatest sports figures of our times. He didn't leave when he was on top. He kept fight until he got losses at the end of his career. So people last remember him as an aging boxer that should of retired.

Last but not least our favorite, Michael Jeffrey Jordan. The game winning shot again Utah Jazz in the 1998 playoffs to win the finals should of been his last. But no, Jordan came back to the lowly Washington Wizards. He did okay, but he should of been remember that way. Not the Wizards. Do you see where I am going with this people.

Mayweather has made enough money and has nothing else to prove to people or to his sport. I know what everyone is think. What about fighting Manny "Pacman" Pacquiao. Let's be true to ourselves people. He doesn't want to fight Floyd because he knows that will be a loss for him.

Also as Floyd said in a HBO interview. Manny feels that he should get a 50/50 split. Floyd isn't having that. So I just think this was the fight for Floyd to walk away and focus on his family and business ventures. Did I mention he just made a whopping $32 million off the Cotto fight. WOW

Can the Duo get it Done?

New York Knicks at 3:30pm on ABC. This is there last chance to look respectable. I know we are going against a really tough team in the Miami Heat, but there is no reason that we aren’t scoring points in the fourth quarter. This has to change now. If not this off-season we need to look at trades to make this team compete better. With this team that is put together with Amar’e Stoudemire and Carmello Anthony, they just can’t seem to get over the hump!
