Floyd "Money" Mayweather Jr.

First off, I want to congratulate Floyd for his win last night against Miguel Cotto. I'm not writing about his win. This post is to talk about his next chapter and that is for him to retire. Before people assume that I don't want to see him fight; listen up.

He is on top of his game right now. He is undefeated and can we not forget 35 years old. As history has told us when a great sports figure gets older and they are great they don't know how to walk away on top. For example, Mohammed Ali.

He was and is one of the greatest sports figures of our times. He didn't leave when he was on top. He kept fight until he got losses at the end of his career. So people last remember him as an aging boxer that should of retired.

Last but not least our favorite, Michael Jeffrey Jordan. The game winning shot again Utah Jazz in the 1998 playoffs to win the finals should of been his last. But no, Jordan came back to the lowly Washington Wizards. He did okay, but he should of been remember that way. Not the Wizards. Do you see where I am going with this people.

Mayweather has made enough money and has nothing else to prove to people or to his sport. I know what everyone is think. What about fighting Manny "Pacman" Pacquiao. Let's be true to ourselves people. He doesn't want to fight Floyd because he knows that will be a loss for him.

Also as Floyd said in a HBO interview. Manny feels that he should get a 50/50 split. Floyd isn't having that. So I just think this was the fight for Floyd to walk away and focus on his family and business ventures. Did I mention he just made a whopping $32 million off the Cotto fight. WOW
