Nothing Super in the City of Angels

The Los Angeles Lakers are having a disappointing season by far and it doesn’t help that everyone seems to not be all on board. You have Kobe coming out many nights criticizing the team and then Dwight Howard doing the same. Whatever went wrong for this team this season, it’s definitely not looking good. I’m not a big fan of players coming out and speaking badly about teammates and coaches. Kobe has done this throughout his career and it’s getting even worse now. Bryant just needs to play his game, which he’s having a phenomenal MVP caliber season and let everything else play out. He can have an all players meeting and vent out to them what he feels about them, but going to the media; come on Kobe!
Well we see that it’s not looking to super in the city of angels and Howard can take some of the blame for that. Not just his anemic free throw shooting or him hustling back on plays. Looking at the numbers this year for Dwight, he’s having a good year statistically and wouldn’t be surprised if he would be the Defensive Player of the Year again. Averaging 2.6 of blocked shots can help. But something isn’t looking right for the man they call “Superman”. That back of his looks a bit off as you can see in his play.
I know Howard isn’t getting the touches that he’s used to getting in Orlando, when he was the main and only offensive option they had. Now you have a legend in Kobe Bryant where he is looking to put up about 30 shots a game. That changes everything in the Howard saga in L.A. Will this team make the playoffs? Maybe, but with a 15-17 record they still have time to turn it around. It better be quick because there are some good teams in the west and they’re gunning for the top. Controversy sometimes can be good but with Howard and Kobe not getting along this will turn out to be an ugly season. I wouldn’t be surprised if we see Howard traded by the deadline to the Nets or Mavericks. Just a thought people! How do you think the Lakers season will turn out and if you see Howard traded?
