Keep the Wives out of This KG

As many have already known by now New York Knicks Carmelo Anthony will not participate in Thursday’s night game against the Indiana Pacers because he was suspended by the NBA for one game for seeking out Kevin Garnett in Monday night’s loss against the Boston Celtics. I think the suspension was called for because as a player, not matter what was said you don’t go after a player in the visiting locker room and definitely not at a team bus. I understand Melo was mad; I got that but as a player and a man you have to know there will be consequences that come with it.
The rumor going around the Internet and all the blogs is that the notorious trash talker KG said a remark to Melo about his wife LaLa Anthony, by saying she tastes like “Honey Nut Cheerios”. If this is true shame on Garnett! As a man you don’t say those things to another man and don’t think that nothing will happen to you after those comments. I don’t have a problem with some trash talking in the games but a comment about somebody’s wife is just a no no in life. Guys look at retired legend Gary Payton, this man couldn’t stop talking on the court but he was never in any controversy about going overboard about someone’s family or personal life.

I’m just a bit shocked that Garnett would pull a stunt like that being a great player for so many years and a veteran as that. I just expect those behaviors from somebody like a DeMarcus Cousins; which is a complete nut case. That’s just what I think haha! But on another note, Melo will be missed tomorrow as we know the record of the Knicks when he’s not in the lineup which is 3-3. What really bothered me was hearing that Anthony is a thug and all that garbage. Let me ask you, if anybody said that about your wife what would you do? I think I can answer that one people. Many would want to take somebody’s head off. You don’t go there with the wife; you just don’t.
Melo felt that he was done wrong and I feel that the punishment was right but I really hope that the NBA will investigate a bit more on Garnett and give him something in return. Well let’s say an eye for an eye.
