Los Angeles great Kobe
Bryant has been in the league for over 17 years now and he’s seen the highs and
the lows of the NBA. This year hasn’t been any different. With his team in a losing
spree right now with a record of 17-24 in the Western Conference, they just
look awful. There play isn’t Laker basketball and “The Black Mamba” always has
something to say about it.
Does Kobe ever keeps
his mouth shut and goes through the motions of the season win or lose? Heck no,
he doesn’t because he can’t help himself to be the center of attention. How can
I feel bad for a player that has done everything in his career to throw players
under the bus; may I say Pau Gasol, Dwight Howard and Shaquille O’Neal just to
name a few.I really never felt bad for a multiple world champion that probably goes down when retired as a top 5 player of all-time. So now, that won’t be me feeling sad and sorry for Bryant. What he needs to do is just be Kobe and play his game and try to lift up his team even when down. Don’t get me wrong guys, I love Kobe Bryant and what he’s brought to the NBA since 1996, but lately I’ve been seeing his true colors come out in the forefront.
Is the D’Antoni system good for Kobe and the Lakers? I would say at times it is but they need Howard and Gasol to play much better. Coaches always get the blame for when the team looks bad and loses. But when do we look at the players that are on the court and make them accountable for their play? We all know D’Antoni and his offensive play that he loves to run but this team isn’t good for that system; point blank.
Bryant needs to stay in the gym and work on his jump shot because he’s looking a bit old in his last couple of games. His shot has been way off and it might just be his frustrations on the court. The funny thing is that I remember Kobe being the same way when Shaq left the team back in 2004. I just feel sad that many players don’t want to play with Kobe because of his anger and complaining behavior. Your thoughts on this?
