Is Retirement Calling Derek Jeter?

The New York Yankees might be rolling with some early wins in the season but they are having a hard time keeping their players on the field because they’re injured. Yankees star Derek Jeter is out again with a crack in his ankle and won’t be back until July. But who really knows if that’s the time he’ll be back.
We can’t forget that father time has caught up with Jeter as he’s 38 years old. Many fans just didn’t think this would be Jeter going through this because he’s the captain and for the most part has been reliable to be on the field throughout his career.

So there are many questions being asked today if Jeter is going to be the same player once he gets back from injury and if he’ll be the defender he once was. Derek understands that there are big expectations on him to come back from this and be the player that he once was.

Jeter is very disappointed in this injury that has plagued him and now he’s going to be in a boot and watching his team compete from his couch. This is a player that might that has a lot of pride and wants to be out there with the club to give them a spark that is much needed.

I must say with all the injuries that the New York Yankees are facing currently; they’re finding ways to win. They seem as if they are coming together as one and everyone is picking the load.

Is Derek Jeter over the mountain? I don’t know as of yet but at his age I don’t think that he has more to prove and maybe offer the Yankees. This is a living legend but maybe it might be time to hang up the cleats and think about life after baseball.

Do you think Jeter will come back stronger than ever or be plagued with more injuries to his 38 year old body?
