America's Richest Coach

New Orleans Saints exiled coach Sean Payton is known around the league as one of the best coaches around. His passion and intelligence of the game has made him a Super Bowl winner in 2009. Payton was suspended by the league for the season for his participation in the bounty scandal that has stricken the club severely. Without the services of Payton many experts and fans knew that this team wouldn’t be as good this year; and they were right. Payton in my opinion should be the one in the running for Coach of the Year this season and not to be funny guys, but without him this team hasn’t looked good at all. I know with Drew Brees running the offense and his great leadership, there is so much he can do as a player. Every great team needs a great coach; and Payton is that.
Now that you all know he will definitely be paid as one. The deal is done and he received a 5 year extension that will pay him close to $40 million. That will make him the richest coach in the country. I don’t know if any coach is worth that kind of money but Payton brings a lot to the table that many noticed with his absence. I think the owner knew that saying “you never know what you have until it’s gone”. He knew to extend Payton for some other team swaps him up and pays him big for his services. Was Payton over paid? Most definitely but this team had no other options because they would of lost him trying to count pennies and I mean millions of them.

Look, is Payton going to come back and win a Super Bowl next season with the Saints? Who knows! But I can tell you that this team will come out and be a title contender again and Payton will bring them back to respectability they once had. Having a quarterback like Drew Brees really doesn’t hurt as well. Even though they had a bad year, Brees was still competing and throwing bombs. I can say that Brees worked for his money this season, even though they didn’t make the tournament. I know that must of killed the team inside and especially Payton because he had to sit and watch and couldn’t do nothing to help.

Now with Payton locked up, we shall see some big changes and a more complete ball club. I know this bounty scandal took a toll on the team as a whole and they just want it behind them. The NFL and Roger Goodell are complete fools. If you’re going to say that you have evidence on players and make accusations at least show the proof or shut up! I’m just saying. Do you think that Sean Payton is the game changer for this team to become successful again?
